February Wrap Up

february-wrap-up-2016

The month of February was a pretty terrible reading month for me. I started off pretty strong by reading 2 books within the first 8 days of the month but after that, everything went downhill. This is because for the last three weeks of the month, I was dizzy and had a headache almost constantly – which made reading almost impossible! However, I still was able to read 3 books and a total of 1,525 pages. (The page count includes the books I didn’t finish.)

Books Read in February

FWU

I started off the month by reading one of my most anticipated releases of 2016: Stars Above by Marissa Meyer. I ended up really loving this collection of novellas (even though I had already read almost half of them previously). My review is linked above if you would like to read more of my thoughts! Next, I picked up Something Real by Heather Demetrios because I had read her novel I’ll Meet You There last month and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I didn’t like Something Real as much. It was a pretty good read, but not one that will stick with me.

The day after finishing Something Real is when I started experiencing headaches and dizziness so it was quite hard for me to read. I picked up The Witch Hunter but ended up DNFing it (see below). Then the next week, I started 3 books: Night Film, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, and The False Prince. As you can see, I was only able to finish Night Film. This read of Night Film was actually a reread for me – I first read this book last February and I really loved it. I still really enjoyed it this time around! (Check out my short Goodreads review if you’re interested.)

Books I Started But Didn’t Finish

FWU2

When trying to get back into reading, I started three different books but was only able to finish one of them (Night Film). Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is a reread for me and this month I was able to read 85 pages of it. I hope to finish it in March! I didn’t get far into The False Prince (only 10 pages). I’m not sure if I’m going to continue it in March – I may end up putting it on hold for the time being.

DNF (Did Not Finish)

The Witch Hunter

I couldn’t really get into this book so I decided to DNF it for now. I’m not totally opposed to picking it back up at a later time, but for right now I’m going to focus on other books.

I had a crappy reading month too! It started off well but I lost it along the way. I hope I get to read more books this month! Stars Above sounds amazing and I cannot wait to read it!

I didn’t have a great reading month either, only 2 books and I did the exact same thing as you and started rereading Simon Vs… I’m hoping to finish it this month as well.
