About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Brooke and I’m a 21 year old avid reader living in Pennsylvania, USA. I first got involved in the online book community in 2014 when I created Goodreads and Bookstagram accounts. In April of 2015, I created this blog and I’ve been keeping it going ever since! While I’m no longer active on Bookstagram, I still use Goodreads all the time! In addition, I’m finally coming out of my shell on Twitter and starting to get more involved with the book community on there!

Now for more things about me! Firstly, I have to share that fantasy is my favorite genre! I’ve changed favorite genres a lot throughout my life but for the past several years, fantasy has consistently been my favorite. Secondly, I’m an animal lover! I have one dog (a Labrador retriever) named Ben who is 8 years old and two white cats named Annabelle and Jasper who are 5 years old.

Two big parts of me that I haven’t extensively talked about on my blog are that 1) I’ve been living with mental illness for at least half of my life – maybe longer. I deal mostly with anxiety and panic attacks, but sometimes I experience depression as well. 2) I’m asexual. These two things are huge parts of me and I hope that in the very near future I’m able to talk more about them on my blog.
