Second Half of 2017 Book Haul

Second Half of 2017 Book Haul

Hi everyone! Since the year is coming to a close, I wanted to share with you all the books I’ve accumulated in the second half of the year! As I mentioned before, I don’t usually get enough books each month to warrant a monthly book haul post so I decided to combine six months of books into one post. If you missed my First Half of 2017 Book Haul post click here to be taken to the it. Like previous posts, I’ve organized this post by separating the books by the month I got them in and where I got them from. Also, each book title links to the book’s Goodreads page. Without further ado, here are all the books I’ve accumulated between July 1, 2017 and today. Enjoy!

Total Books Acquired in the Entire Year: 59

Wow, I can’t believe those two above numbers! I only acquired 59 books this year?? That’s less than half of the amount I acquired in 2016! Well, I definitely think I went easier on my wallet this year in regards to books. Let’s see if this trend continues in 2018!

First Half of 2017 Book Haul

First Half of 2017 Book Haul

Hi everyone! As you can probably tell by the title, today I’m going to share with you all the books I accumulated throughout the first half of the year! Since I don’t always get a lot of books each month, I didn’t want to do a separate book haul post every month. Instead, I’m continuing to format my book hauls like this (check out my posts from last year: First Half of 2016 Book Haul and Second Half of 2016 Book Haul). I’ve organized the post by separating the books by the month I got them in and where I got them from. Each book title links to the book’s Goodreads page. Without further ado, here are all the books I’ve accumulated between January 1, 2017 and June 30, 2017. Enjoy!

November Book Haul

november-book-haul-2015

Hey everyone! Today I’m doing a type of post I’ve never done before: a book haul. The reason why I’ve never done a book haul is because I don’t normally buy a lot of books in one month. This month, however, I bought a total of 19 books (which is crazy). BUT, a majority of these books were extremely discounted (cheapest being $1). So I guess it isn’t so bad?

Amazon

bh1

I started off the month strong by ordering all these books from Amazon. While I didn’t get them nearly as cheap as the books in the later portion of this book haul, I definitely got them cheaper than if I had bought them in a bookstore. Before purchasing, I had already read 3 out of the 5 of these books – Scarlet, Cress, and Night Film. I really enjoyed them all and I wanted to own them! I have since read the remaining 2 books.

Library Sale / Dollar Store

bh4

I got all six of these books for only $9!! The first five books came from my library’s book sale where paperback books were $1 each and hardcovers were $2 each. MILA 2.0 was from the Dollar Store. I’m so glad I was able to get these books for such a low price!

Book Outlet

I got all 8 of these books for less than $24 including shipping from Book Outlet! I ordered them during Book Outlet’s Black Friday sale, taking advantage of the 30% off. It was an amazing deal!

What books did you acquire this month? Which ones are you most excited to read?

Used Book Sale Finds

used-book-sale-finds

During the last two weeks, I went to two different used book sales – one at a school in my area and the other at my local library. I wanted to make a quick post to show you all the books that I got for an amazing price!

Book Sale #1

image1 Books I Bought:

  • Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare – The reason I bought this because it’s really cool looking and I believe it’s quite old as well. I read this play back in school when I was around 15. I’m not sure if I’ll read it again anytime soon but I just couldn’t pass it up!
  • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson – I don’t have any particular reason for picking this one up other than I’ve heard really good things about it. I don’t know when I’ll get around to reading it however.
  • The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini – Again, I picked this one up because I’ve heard good things about it. Not sure when I’ll read it, but I’m looking forward to it!
  • Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella – I bought this book because I’ve heard good things about the author. I read this book yesterday and it was a really fun, quick read! I gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
  • Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts – I bought this book because I preferred the hardcover version to the mass market paperback version I’m borrowing from my mom. This is one of my mom’s favorite books so I’m looking forward to reading it!

Book Sale #2

image2

Books I Bought:

  • The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks – This is a book I already own and I’ve read before. However, the version I own was the mass market paperback. When I came across this hardcover version in almost perfect condition, I couldn’t pass it up!
  • The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks – I’m pretty certain I’ve already read this book but I didn’t own it. That’s why I decided to get it!
  • Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes – This is probably the book I was most excited to find. Both of the book sales I went to didn’t have a great YA selection (barely any at all). That’s why I was so shocked when I saw this book. This book has been on my TBR for quite some time. I can’t wait to read it!
  • Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult – This is another book I’ve already read but didn’t own. I just had to get it!

All in all, I spent around $15 for 6 hardcovers and 3 paperbacks. I’m extremely happy with this! Do you like going to used book sales / used bookstores? What is the best deal you’ve ever gotten? Let me know down below!
