The Kane Chronicles

A couple weeks ago I checked out all three of these books from the library and have since read 2 out of the 3 and really, really liked them. So I decided to go ahead and purchase the books to add to my gradually growing Rick Riordan collection. I bought the beautiful hardcover box set for 45% off on Amazon! It was an amazing deal that I couldn’t pass up. I’m looking forward to reading the last book in the trilogy really soon!

Six of Crows has been getting so much hype lately which makes me want to check it out for myself. I decided to buy it because I saw how beautifully made it was (those black page edges!!) and because I thought it was something I’d really enjoy. I plan on reading Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha trilogy first though since this book takes place in the same world. I’m super pumped to experience the Grisha world! As for Illuminae, I’ve been anticipating this book for quite some time now and I knew it was a book I had to own. Simple as that!

All three of these books I got for an excellent price! I bought City of Ashes for $5 on eBay while I got A Million Suns and The Bane Chronicles for $2 each at a bargain outlet!

STS2

While I didn’t get these three books for as cheap as the first three, I still got them for a little less of their list price, which is still a win! I bought Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey which is a book I’ve already read but didn’t previously own. I really enjoyed that book and knew I had to add it to my collection! I’m really excited to read both The Sword of Summer and Everything, Everything. They both have really stunning covers!

Library Books

Kane Chronicles trilogy

I’ve been wanting to read this trilogy for quite some time now, but I’ve been waiting for the library to have all three books in. Yesterday, they finally did! Now it’s time to marathon the series! I hope I like it just as much as Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus series.

STS3

I’ve been waiting to read The Rest of Us Just Live Here forever so when I saw the library had it, I knew I had to get it. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the book as much as I thought I would. I think the book had an excellent concept that just wasn’t executed quite right. I still enjoyed it, but not as much as his other books! As for Nightfall, I hadn’t really heard of it before I saw it at the library. The synopsis sounded intriguing plus it had a cool looking map in the front. Unfortunately, it has a low rating on Goodreads and I’ve read some negative reviews so I’m not sure if I’ll end up reading it.

For Review

Sacrificed

I was sent an eBook copy of this book for review and I’m planning to read it sometime this month. It sounds really interesting so I hope I end up liking it!

This week I visited a discount outlet that has a HUGE selection of books for really cheap. I ended up getting the two books above in hardcover and looking brand new for only $1.99 each! That’s such an amazing deal!! I’ll definitely be going back to that store soon.

This week (like pretty much every week) I visited my local library and picked up some books. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish all of these books before they’re due back, but I’m going to try! I already read The Heart of Betrayal and I really, really enjoyed it. What a fantastic sequel!

I was at the bookstore yesterday and decided to pick up this book! It’s been on my TBR for awhile now, so I’m glad I finally own it.

Every week, I keep getting more and more library books. Every time I go to the library, I can’t leave without bringing a few more books home! Of these four books, I’ve already read A Thousand Splendid Suns and I really enjoyed it! I’m currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses and it’s been quite slow so far. I really hope things pick up soon!

A Book of Spirits and Thieves

On release day, it said online that this book wasn’t in my local bookstore. However, I decided to go to the bookstore anyway and I was surprised to see it was actually there! I of course bought it and have since read it. I really enjoyed it and gave it 4 out of 5 stars!

Received

The Knife of Never Letting Go 4

My lovely friend bought this book for me! I’m so excited to start this series and I hope I enjoy it as much as Patrick Ness’ other books!

Earlier this week, I had to go to the library to return a few books. Even though I had plenty still checked out, I ended up getting 3 more books! I wasn’t sure what book I wanted to read next – all I knew is that I wanted to read a fantasy book. So I decided to take home 3 fantasy books to give myself some options. I ended up DNFing The Warrior Heir, but I might go back to it sometime in the future.

I won all five of these books from a giveaway Fiction Fare hosted a few weeks ago as a part of the blog tour for Proof of Forever by Lexa Hillyer. All I knew at the time of winning is that I was going to receive a surprise ARC package from HarperCollins. A few days later, I was so excited when a big package came in the mail with five books inside! Thank you again to the ladies at Fiction Fare and HarperCollins!

Today, I went to two of the libraries in my area and ended up taking a total of 8 books home with me. Now, I’m not 100% sure I’ll actually read all 8 of these books in the 2-3 weeks that I have them, but I’ll definitely try! Click on each picture to be taken to that book’s Goodreads page for the synopsis and more information.
