WWW Wednesday #2

www-wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme previously hosted by Should Be Reading but now hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Each week you answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Falling Kingdoms

I’m about to start reading Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes. This book has been on my TBR for a little while and now that I own it, I’m finally getting around to reading it! I’m in the mood for a fantasy book right now and this book seems really interesting. I hope I enjoy it!

Recently Finished

Last 3 reads (18)

I’ve recently finished reading I Was Here by Gayle Forman (2/5 stars), The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (4/5 stars), and Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen (4.5/5 stars). As you can tell by the ratings, I really enjoyed the last two, but I Was Here – not so much. I’ll probably have reviews up on these books soon.

Reading Next

Untitled

I’m not quite sure what book I’ll read next. I have quite a few books checked out from the library, but I’ll have to see what I’m in the mood for after finishing Falling Kingdoms. I do have the sequel, Rebel Spring, and the third book, Gathering Darkness, out from the library so I might read them if I enjoy the first book. If not, I’ll probably read Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey since I’m really looking forward to it!

WWW Wednesday #1

www-wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words (previously hosted by Should Be Reading) where you answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

The House of Hades

I’m currently reading The House of Hades by Rick Riordan, which is the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series. I’ve loved each book in the series so far and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens!

Recently Finished

Liars, Inc.

I recently finished Liars, Inc. by Paula Stokes. I borrowed this book from my library on Monday and immediately began reading it that same night. I absolutely flew through it and I finished it around noon the next day! The book was really intriguing and I didn’t see the twist at the end coming. However, I only gave it 3.5/5 stars.

Reading Next

The Blood of Olympus

I plan to read the fifth and final book in the Heroes of Olympus series, The Blood of Olympus, after finishing The House of Hades. However, sometimes plans change! I got two other books from the library and I may pick up one of those before hand.

Waiting on Wednesday #1

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where you talk about your most anticipated books. This is my first time participating and I already love it! There are so many books coming out in 2015 that I’m pumped for. I look forward to sharing them with you every week!

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness

The Rest of Us Just Live Here

Publication Date: August 27, 2015

Publisher: Walker Books

Series: N/A

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Fantasy

Pages: 352

Synopsis: What if you aren’t the Chosen One?

The one who’s supposed to fight the zombies, or the soul-eating ghosts, or whatever the heck this new thing is, with the blue lights and the death?

What if you’re like Mikey? Who just wants to graduate and go to prom and maybe finally work up the courage to ask Henna out before someone goes and blows up the high school. Again.

Because sometimes there are problems bigger than this week’s end of the world, and sometimes you just have to find the extraordinary in your ordinary life.

Even if your best friend is worshipped by mountain lions.

Why I’m Excited

I can’t believe I have to wait until August to have this book in my hands. I absolutely loved More Than This and A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I plan on reading his Chaos Walking trilogy soon as well. I need another Patrick Ness book in my life. His writing style is so unique and wonderful. It just sucks you right in and doesn’t let you go until you turn that last page. Also, isn’t this cover so cool?? And that synopsis! August, please hurry up.

Which book are you most looking forward to? If you participated in Waiting On Wednesday today, leave the link to your post below. I’d love to see your most anticipated books!
