If you only need to know one thing about me, know this: I absolutely love Taylor Swift. I have been a fan of hers for about 9 years now and she’s definitely one of my favorite artists. When I saw this tag was created, I knew I had to do it. I hope you enjoy this post just as much as I enjoyed writing it!
1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Pick a book or series that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with
The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner – I really enjoyed the first book, The Maze Runner, but as the trilogy went on, it unfortunately didn’t get better. I finished out the series but I didn’t completely like doing so.
2. Red
Pick a book with a red cover
The Elite by Kiera Cass – This one is pretty self explanatory. I just picked the first red book I saw!
3. The Best Day
Pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic
The Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer – This series brings back a lot of good memories. I first read it almost 7 years ago at the same time my best friend was reading it. I just remember obsessing over these books with my friends and going to see each movie in theaters pretty much as soon as they came out. Looking back, it’s not that great of series, but my 12 year old self disagrees!
4. Love Story
Pick a book with forbidden love
Obsidian (The Lux series) by Jennifer L. Armentrout – This series starts out with the main theme being pretty much forbidden love. The main character Katy starts to fall for her next-door neighbor who is, of course, a super attractive alien. This series is definitely one of my guilty pleasures and I definitely recommend you check it out if you love paranormal romance!
5. I Knew You Were Trouble
Pick a book with a bad character you couldn’t help but love
Warner from the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi – Do I even need to explain this one?
6. Innocent
Pick a book that someone ruined the ending for
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare – Unfortunately, I saw the big twist that happened at the end coming because my friend told me all about it before I even started reading the book. I think I would have enjoyed this book even more if I hadn’t been spoiled!
7. Everything Has Changed
Pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson – Emily goes through some serious character development over the course of this novel. She starts off as a shy and awkward girl but by the end, she’s completely different! Honorable Mention: Juliette from the Shatter Me trilogy
8. You Belong With Me
Pick your most anticipated book release
Winter by Marissa Meyer – There are a lot of books I’m looking forward to coming out this year but the one I’m most excited about is this book. Winter is the fourth and final book in the Lunar Chronicles series and it’s going to be 800 pages long! November 10th, please come faster!!
9. Forever and Always
Pick your favorite book couple
Percy & Annabeth (Percabeth) – I have several favorite book couples, but one I’m really loving right now is Percabeth. If for some reason you don’t know, Percy and Annabeth are from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and The Heroes of Olympus series.
10. Come Back, Be Here
Pick the book you would least like to lend out, for fear of missing it too much
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling – I could never lend out my copies of these books since they’re so near and dear to my heart. However, that doesn’t stop me from recommending this series to anyone who hasn’t read it yet!
